What Is a Back-Up Ring?
It is installed together with O-Rings and Quad-Ring® / X-Rings to prevent gap extrusion in applications above 5 MPa / 725 psi.
Available in filled or unfilled PTFE, elastomers, and thermoplastics according to ISO 3601 and AS 568, with spiral-cut, cut, or uncut design options.
